#2. Identify, research, and collect data on an environmental issue using digital resources and propose a developmentally appropriate solution I would have the students fill out a survey asking questions about what kind of technology they use and how often they use it. Next they would create a chart to show the class data. Finally they would transfer this data information onto a chart of the computer.
#7. Demonstrate safe and cooperative use of technology. I would personally make sure that certain websites on the classroom computer are locked. If ever I made an assignment to use a computer at home I would make the parents aware so the students were being supervised.
#9. Communicate about technology using developmentally appropriate and accurate terminology. An activity I would have the students do to become more familiar with technology and appropriate terminology is to show them pictures of certain pieces o technology and explain how they work and what they are used for, then I would hold a vocabulary to test to make sure the students understand.
#10. Demonstrate the ability to navigate in virtual environments such as electronic books, simulation software, and Web sites. To help the students become aware of new technological advances I would buy an electronic book and have it be a privilege to be the student to read the story aloud each day. I would also put websites that are ok for children to view on my power point so that the students can know what they look like.
